What is the Evil Doll tattoo style?
Evil Doll is my original signature style. The characters are doll figures, but don't let that fool you into thinking they're soft. They sit somewhere between beauty and unease, holding emotions that feel too heavy to say out loud. Every piece is designed from scratch. Once it's on your skin, it exists nowhere else in the world.
What makes Evil Doll different from other character tattoo styles?
It doesn't fit neatly into any existing category, and that's the point. I grew up with Eastern sensibility in how I feel and see things, but I was trained in Western fine art technique. Evil Doll is what happens when those two things stop fighting each other and start working together. You won't find another artist doing what I do, because no one else has the same combination of where I came from and what I spent nine years building.
Has Evil Doll won awards at tattoo competitions?
My most recent Evil Doll piece, Karma Doll, took Best of Show at Longhorn State Tattoo Expo 2025. That's the top award at the convention, judged across every style and every artist in the room. Nine years of work went into that moment. I don't plan to stop competing anytime soon.
What size does an Evil Doll tattoo need to be?
Medium to large works best. The style lives in the detail of the character's expression, and that detail needs space to read properly. Push it too small and you lose the thing that makes it worth doing. I'll tell you straight during consultation whether your chosen placement gives us enough room to work with.
What is the best placement for an Evil Doll tattoo?
Arm and leg are the placements I recommend most, and for good reason. Both give the character room to exist as a full composition rather than a cropped fragment. Most of my Evil Doll clients go full sleeve or full leg, and honestly that's where the style makes the most sense. A doll with presence needs space to own. Small placements work for some styles. This isn't one of them.
